Chilewich was born in 2000 out of designer Sandy Chilewich’s passion for reimagining overlooked materials and underused processes to transform the way people around the world set their tables. "We currently have several shag mats. We’ve been turning to these for 20+ years for their performance and good looks, and reasonable price points. We have solid and striped versions, and all add nice color and functionality, both indoors and out. Indoors they help keep water and dirt contained, especially as we take off snow and rain boots. And we can leave the boots on the mats to dry. We also love that they tend to hold their colors well. One bright multi mat that we used outside our front door did eventually turn faded/dingy, but this was after years of use in intense sun. We’re big fans."
