Description

At first glance, Metallic Lace appears to be metal; however, upon closer inspection it reveals itself to be a highly refined textile. The open, abstract netting is metallicized to form the gleaming surface and thus becomes a truly contemporary lace.

Materials

Terrastrand yarns with 25% renewable vegetable content. Free of phthalates.

  • Standard lead time for custom placemat/runner orders is 2-3 weeks.
  • For all special shapes, you will be required to provide a template of CAD file to reproduce.
  • All custom orders are final sale. No returns or exchanges will be authorized.

Cleaning

  • Cleaning is easy. Simply wipe the mat with soap and water, and allow to air dry.
  • Mats with visible food residue can be sprayed with soapy water, scrubbed with a soft-bristle brush, or soaked in soapy water and then rinsed.
  • Do not clean with alcohol-based cleaning agents, as they can break down TerraStrand yarns over time.
  • Citrus-based cleaning agents are also not recommended, as they can cause discoloration.
  • Do not wash in dishwasher or washing machine. Do not iron or dry with heat. A high-temperature sanitizer may be used up to once per week.

Storage

  • Store Chilewich placemats flat.
  • Table runners may be rolled.
  • Do not store wet or allow mats to fold or crease.
  • In case of creasing, steam using a handheld garment steamer on the lowest heat setting.

  • To process your return, visit our Returns Portal. 
  • Returns are accepted within 30 days of the item’s ship date. 
  • Please note that all returns are subject to a return shipping fee. Original shipping and freight charges are non-refundable. 
  • Items must be returned in unused condition, with all original labels and/or tags attached. Items not returned in as-new, unused condition may be refused.
  • If returning a woven floor mat, please re-roll it with the woven (fabric) side facing out.
  • If returning placemats, please lay them flat.
  • Any oversized rugs that require a special shipping method will be charged a 15% return fee. To schedule an oversized rug return please submit a support request or reach out to us via email:  customerservice@chilewich.com.

"I love this runner. It shimmers softly in any light. The look & quality are first-rate. Regrettably, my runner arrived with a deep crease. I contacted customer service & received instructions on how to address the issue. After several unsuccessful attempts to eliminate the crease, I reached out again to customer service. I was offered a replacement runner. Thank you! Alas, that runner also arrived with a deep crease in it. I was able to relax the crease after carefully working with it for an hour or so. Given the luxe nature & pricing of this runner, I sure hope my experience was an exception. I'd give this product 5 stars if I hadn't received not one, but two runners with deep creases."
