Chilewich was born in 2000 out of designer Sandy Chilewich’s passion for reimagining overlooked materials and underused processes to transform the way people around the world set their tables. In designing textiles that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable, versatile, and easy to wipe clean, we offer products that address a key element of sustainability: longevity. Every Chilewich product is made to endure decades of daily use and to look good doing it, while conserving the resources required by machine washing and product replacement.
Sustainability is also the quest for better, and we’re committed to continuing to make choices that are better for people and the planet. From raw materials to finished goods, design to production, we recognize that this is an evolution that encompasses manufacturers, consumers, and policymakers in a complex interplay of economics, engineering, and chemistry.

"Wonderful! Would buy again."
"I love them . They’re great . Thank you for making sure a great product . I love that they’re not thick like they do lots of them ."
"I really like these new coasters. The fuzzy back protects my furniture so much better than the older style from condensation on a bottle or glass. They’re still thin enough that they’re easy to use."
"I love my new coasters - the woven look is perfect - they move easily and offer great protection. The off white color goes with everything. As with everything I have ordered from Chilewith, so happy with my purchase."
"The color and texture of the coasters is wonderful, and they look very nice from the top. However, their thick rubber base kind of ruins the look when viewed them from the side, which is disappointing given how expensive the set is. I feel like Chilewich should've gone with something a lot thinner or even with no base at all as some people, like myself, use coasters to dampen the sound of glass settling on a hard surface or even just as something decorative. I wouldn't recommend this product in its current state."
"very nice-- would actually prefer all solid black, but these work"
"I’m selective about coasters after being burned over the years. These are great."
"These Boucle Noir Coasters are the perfect item for any decor. They are discreet and beautifully simple! Buy 2 sets and put them out on all your surfaces. . . . just to make sure nothing gets stained or marred."
