FAQs

What is a Worktop?

Worktop is a made-to-order woven cover for flat surfaces. It adds a durable, easy-to-clean surface to countertops, islands, desks, vanities, coffee tables, and more.

What surfaces can I use Worktop on?

Worktop is designed for flat indoor surfaces such as kitchen counters, islands, bathroom vanities, desktops, coffee tables, and nightstands. It can also be used on outdoor dining surfaces.

Is Worktop made to order?

Yes. Choose a size, weave, and color; there is no minimum order. Standard custom orders take about 2–3 weeks. Custom orders are final sale.

What is on the underside of Worktop?

Worktop has a lightly cushioned, non-slip backing designed to help it stay in place and protect the surface underneath. Backing details may vary by style, so check the selected product page

How do I clean Worktop?

Wipe Worktop with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For heavier soiling, treat stains with a spot cleaner or bleach-based cleanser and a soft-bristle brush. Rinse and let it dry.

Can I put Worktop in the washing machine or dishwasher?

No. Do not machine-wash or put Worktop in the dishwasher, and do not iron it. Avoid cleaners containing alcohol, citrus, or acetone, as well as Pine-Sol.

Can I put hot cookware on Worktop or cut directly on it?

Do not expose Worktop to temperatures above 200°F (93°C); use a trivet with hot cookware. Do not cut directly on the surface.

Can I use Worktop outdoors?

Yes. Worktop is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and is described as resistant to staining, fading, mold, mildew, and chlorine. As with other textiles, prolonged direct sun may fade color over time.
