GROUNDBREAKING NEW TILE BACKING SYSTEM
A key introduction to the Chilewich Contract Collection for 2012 | 2013 is BioFelt™ - a revolutionary new tile backing system for commercial, retail and hospitality applications.
BioFelt™ is an innovative PVC-free tile backing system composed of 82% pre-and post-consumer content. It can be installed with adhesives or with VELCRO® Brand Hook Squares, a new modular flooring installation system developed by Velcro USA, Inc. to connect each tile to one another, and to the floor. This allows for easy installation on raised access floors and other flooring surfaces where adhesives would not be allowed or desirable. After use, the installation can be removed without a trace. Chilewich CEO, Joe Sultan, says, "BioFelt™ is the most exciting tile backing system we.ve ever developed. The tile has a wonderful cushioned feel to it, it's much lighter than vinyl, it's tough and durable and can be installed with VELCRO® Brand Hook Square - it's a truly exciting development."
